24/01/2010 - Sales of recycled plastic signs on the up say Fitzpatrick Woolmer

The economy may be in turmoil and recovering from the worst recession experienced in decades, but it seems one business area is bucking the trend - recycled plastic signage.

Fitzpatrick Woolmer, leading providers of creative sign and design solutions for public and open spaces, are experiencing an increase in demand for their recycled plastic signs. Fitzpatrick Woolmer Managing Director, Mark Woolmer, comments "With positive developments of sustainable procurement policies, and a general increase in environmental awareness, coupled with improvements in the quality of recycled plastic products - it appears perceptions are changing and driving increased demand in this area." Mark adds "recycled plastic signage is an area we began developing back in 2007 to mixed reviews. Back then there was still concern about the feasibility of recycled plastic as a viable alternative to metal and timber, but year-by-year that misconception is diminishing as more and more people adopt the product."

Fitzpatrick Woolmer's latest recycled plastic signage customer, Alexandra Robb, Area Manager of London Wildlife Trust Richmond comments "As the nature reserve is a very natural environment we were looking for signage that would both blend in well and provide a high level of vandal resistance. We've heard good reports about recycled plastic - it offers excellent durability, complements our environmental policy and blends into the environment as naturally as timber." Alexandra adds "I'm really pleased with Fitzpatrick Woolmer's signage solution - everything looks fantastic and I will definitely be ordering more recycled plastic signage in the future."
