01/07/09 - Fitzpatrick Woolmer goes Kinetic

Fitzpatrick Woolmer, providers of creative solutions to enhance public and open spaces, announce the launch of their ‘Kinetics Programme’ – a programme designed to reduce lead times on all standard products and services, through smarter application of energy and resources.

The Kinetics Programme, brainchild of Fitzpatrick Woolmer Managing Director, Mark Woolmer, will incorporate varying initiatives from increased staffing to improve turnaround time and increase capacity, to the introduction of new processes and procedures for more efficient stock production and administration; in addition to investment in software, technology and staff training. The programme will see a phased roll-out spanning the next six months, with some of the first stage initiatives already going live.

Currently in their busiest period and with no signs of things easing off, Fitzpatrick Woolmer Managing Director, Mark Woolmer comments “Even though we are busy and often stretched to capacity – in these uncertain times it is important we do not become complacent, and that is why I believe now is the perfect time to launch our Kinetics Programme. Not only is it a very exciting development that will benefit all areas of the business in the long term, it will also send out a positive message to our customers. At Fitzpatrick Woolmer we are committed to business improvement and Kinetics will provide the foundation for a new and improved set of service level agreements - really setting us aside from the competition. Mark adds, “Kinetics will require significant investment and increased manpower if it is going to be a success - something we embrace but recognise can not be achieved over night. However, I am pleased to say the first steps have been taken with the appointment of new staff in our workshops and studio helping to drive efficiencies in the production of standard products.”
