Key Account Manager

An opportunity has arisen to step into an already established and successful role managing new and existing accounts and enquiries within the South East.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to establish themselves within a highly successful and rapidly expanding team. A targeted role this position will require you to sell a range of products and creative services to a primarily public sector client base where you will be responsible for maintaining and growing sales in a region that typically contributes up to 40% to total sales revenue. The ability to develop and maintain relationships over the longer term will be key to the success of this role. This role will involve the development and management of existing accounts as well as the development of new accounts and opportunities in the region.

This role is partly field based (South East), you will be required to work in our Kent office when you are not visiting customers.

•    A proven track record as an Account Manager
•    A knowledge of, or training in, creative thinking/the creative industries
•    Strong client relationship skills
•    New business development skills
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills
•    An appreciation for the outdoors and/or an active interest in conservation and heritage

The ideal candidate would benefit from:

•    Experience working for a small to medium size enterprise
•    Having experience selling to and presenting to Public Sector clients
•    Having experience of signage design/manufacture

Responsibilities

As Key Account Manager you will report to the Sales Director and be responsible for:

  1. Identifying and developing new sales opportunities from existing customer base
  1. Booking and attending client meetings/ new business meetings
  1. Managing client accounts and progress chasing
  1. Identifying new business development opportunities, products and markets
  1. Achieving and exceeding sales targets
  1. Providing monthly sales forecasts and prospect reports to the Sales Director
  1. Preparing quotations, proposal documents and presentations for enquiry response
  1. Managing all systems and procedures in line with Company Service Level Agreements
  1. Processing sales handover forms ensuring absolute accuracy and clarity at all times
  1. Continually developing and looking for the most effective and productive ways to carry out the sales function whilst improving service levels and conversion rates

Competitive basic and excellent OTE
