Interpretation Planning

FWDP is the creative division of Fitzpatrick Woolmer and our interpretation designers can apply their considerable knowledge of creating exciting interpretation schemes to develop a detailed Interpretation Plan for your site or attraction.

From initial stakeholder interviews and background research to the development of themes and storylines, we will undertake a thorough investigation into the history, heritage and assets that your attraction has to offer, before developing engaging interpretive installations with outline budgets and schedules.

Your Interpretation Plan will include background information on the interpretive resource, including physical, cultural and human resources, and outline interpretive themes linked to learning behavioural, emotional and economic objectives. We will present concept designs for onsite interpretation and other media, refining our ideas into a clear and presentable plan that can support any funding bid or HLF application.

Finished solutions can include freestanding Interpretation Displays and Lecterns, alongside Interpretive Exhibitions and wayfinding Guides. All will be explored to create an effective and engaging interpretive experience.
