Sandringham Estate, Sandringham

About

Sandringham House sits in a 20,000 acre estate in Norfolk and is the private home of Queen Elizabeth II. The Visitor Enterprises Manager, Garry Marsden, recognised the need for improved signage and wayfinding throughout the Estate and sought the professional services of Fitzpatrick Woolmer in developing an appropriate signage suite that would complement the brand, sit well in the landscape and provide clear messaging to visitors.

Our design team set about visualising a range of welcome, wayfinding and advisory signs that would help guide and enlighten visitors. All design concepts were approved by the client team with prototypes being presented for sign off prior to manufacture.

Signs were manufactured from Oak sourced from Sandringham Estate, with Tricoya boards in a painted finish. Our sign and wayfinding strategy identified a total of 50 signs for manufacture and included welcome signs, ladder signs, badging signs, fingerposts and public warning signs.
