Providing a Fresh Identity for Leeds Castle
King Edward I. King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon are just some of the notable people who once resided in Leeds Castle. Built in 1119, the historic fortress attracts thousands of visitors every year, which is why we were asked to produce a clear and user friendly signage strategy. With its rich history and beautiful backdrop, Leeds Castle brings in a wide range of people and we were thrilled to be involved with enhancing the overall visitor experience.
The introduction of a new identity for Leeds Castle led to a complete signage makeover; we assisted by creating a contemporary look which matched their new brand guidelines and manufactured durable signs including fingerposts, welcome signs, noticeboards and safety signs.
Our robust n-Viro™ (Request a sample.) product has beautifully enhanced Leeds Castle’s new identity; the artwork has been printed directly onto the high quality panels which offer excellent clarity of colour and display intricate details immaculately. We finished the panels in an anti-graffiti coating for extra durability so they will remain looking neat within the historic grounds for many years.
Tourists from all over the world are drawn to Leeds Castle which is why ensuring international visitors enjoy and make the most of their day is very important. We produced multi-lingual panels with universally recognised symbols; this raises awareness of health and safety issues and allows people from around the world to read and understand the signs.
More signage is set to be installed around Leeds Castle including entrance banners and flags; they will immerse visitors in the history of Leeds Castle and welcome them into the site in true medieval style.
Sarah Codrington, Head of Branding at Leeds Castle, was pleased with the new signage strategy, she said: “the new design and quality of the signs will improve the overall feel of this historic attraction."
