This unique memorial site sits between Folkstone and Dover and looks over the famous White Cliffs with incredible views across the Channel to France. A key point of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust is to teach visitors about the bravery of the Few. This is shown through replica aircraft and a memorial wall and is an ideal place for reflection.
The site also offers a purpose built educational area named 'The Wing' which homes both The Scramble Experience and the Geoffrey Page Centre.
This exciting project had been developed by Creative Good, to assist the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust in improving the appearance and content of external interpretation displays and wayfinding. Extensive work had been undertaken in designing engaging interpretation and bespoke sign displays that would complement the landscaped grounds and withstand the harsh conditions of this coastal location.
To fully realise the project a specialist fabricator was required that could meet the strict selection criteria and make recommendations for improving the specification to maximise longevity and maintain the appearance.
Having met with the project team we were able to offer solutions that went above and beyond the client’s initial expectations and within budget, offering full colour n-viro™ prints with a 10 year lightfastness guarantee and 316 marine grade stainless steel to ward off air born contaminants.
