Beckenham Place Park, Lewisham Borough Council

About

Beckenham Place Park is the largest green space in the Borough of Lewisham, covering 98 hectares and featuring ancient woodlands, London’s first purpose built swimming lake and several historic buildings.

Due to the complexity of path networks criss-crossing the park our services were first deployed in undertaking a complete assessment of walking routes and preparing an outline plan for the strategic placement of signage and wayfinding.

To support the new signage strategy we designed custom variations of our Grenadier™ signage range to promote the Council’s corporate colours and create a sense of ownership and branding throughout the park.

The finished scheme included Grenadier™ fingerposts, Grenadier™ waymarking posts, Grenadier™ directional signs and public safety signs, manufactured from durable Oak hardwood and powdercoated aluminium.

Our service extended from the development of a comprehensive sign and wayfinding strategy, to print, manufacture and installation. We delivered a total of 16 fingerposts and 69 waymarking posts which included over 400 waymarking discs! A complex job indeed.
