Clacton-On-Sea, Tendring District Council

About

As part of an ongoing initiative to improve the public realm, Tendring District Council identified signage as a key tool. Clacton-on-Sea relies heavily on visitors to bring trade to the town and by improving signage and visitor navigation the council hoped to significantly improve the overall visitor experience.

Tendring District Council’s project brief specified the design and manufacture of an easy-to-use pedestrian wayfinding system.

dCipher™, incorporating brushed stainless steel fascias for a contemporary, urban feel, easy-to-use map system, tamper resistant fixings and an interchangeable slat and panel system – provided the ideal solution.

Nine dCipher™ monolith signage units have since been supplied to Tendring District Council, each positioned at key locations to improve visitor orientation and people flow around Clacton-on-Sea
