Hunstanton Heritage Gardens, King’s Lynn And West Norfolk

About

Hunstanton is a popular seaside destination in west Norfolk and well deserving of the considerable investment made to improve its heritage gardens. Wynne Williams Associates had undertaken a signage and interpretation evaluation and we were subsequently appointed by the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk to deliver the scheme.

Our service included the design of interpretation panels and orientation panels, intended to increase visitor awareness of the history of Hunstanton Heritage Gardens and improve dwell time by highlighting local amenities and attractions.

Interpretation panels were presented in our accessible Chelmer lecterns, manufactured from stainless steel to withstand the harsh coastal environment, with n-viro™ printed panels for exceptional lightfastness and durability.

Enigma™ monoliths were positioned at key touch points throughout the gardens to aid navigation and act as gateway markers, with simple, easy to follow maps to help visitors orientate themselves, each designed with a You Are Here marker and walking distances to encourage further exploration.

The project included a discovery trail to engage children and families, presented as cast bronze plaque signs placed within easy sightline, acting as stepping stones and drawing visitors towards less frequented areas.
