Pulborough Wild Art Trail, Horsham District Council

About

The Pulborough Wild Art Trail is a collaboration between Horsham District Council, local artist Steve Gelliot, App developers Spark and the design and manufacturing skills of Fitzpatrick Woolmer.

This interactive discovery trail was very much design led and included artistic features along the full length of the trail to complement the amazing animation of the App.

Our role required full strategy development, identifying the route of the trail and touch points and decision points for the positioning of wayfinding and interpretive installations. Our design team presented options for sign displays and graphics, which included fingerpostswaymarking posts and interpretive lecterns.

Stylized QR codes were developed to trigger augmented reality animations within the App, bringing to life the Pulborough Giant in the viewfinder of your mobile device.

Interpretive lecterns were manufactured from rusting Corten steel and included laser cut features and full colour n-viro™ prints, whilst fingerposts were produced from waney edge Chestnut to fit comfortably within the predominantly rural landscape.

Our illustrators and designers produced engaging interpretation panels to educate visitors which included full colour panoramic illustrations to interpret viewpoints.
